Shipping Policy

Last updated: November 2, 2026

This Shipping Policy explains how [Business Name] processes and delivers orders placed on [website URL], what shipping costs, and what to do if something goes wrong with a delivery.

Order Processing

Orders are processed within 1-3 business days after payment is confirmed.

Orders are not processed or shipped on weekends or public holidays. Orders placed then are processed on the next business day.

During sales, holidays or high order volume, processing may take a little longer. We will email you if there is a significant delay.

Shipping Options and Rates

Shipping costs and delivery estimates are calculated and shown at checkout before you pay. We currently offer:

  • Standard, 3-7 business days, $5.99
  • Express, 1-3 business days, $14.99

Delivery

Delivery times are estimates that start once your order has shipped, not from the date you ordered.

We can deliver to PO boxes and military addresses (APO/FPO) using standard shipping.

Order Tracking

When your order ships, you will receive an email with a tracking number and a link to follow your package. Tracking can take up to 24 hours to update after you receive it.

Where We Ship

We currently ship within our home country only. We do not ship internationally at this time.

Incorrect Addresses

Please check your shipping address carefully at checkout. If you notice a mistake, email us at [contact email] as soon as possible: we can update the address only before the order has shipped. We are not responsible for orders delivered to an incorrect address provided at checkout, and reshipping costs for returned parcels are the customer's responsibility.

Lost, Stolen or Damaged Packages

If your tracking shows delivered but you cannot find your package, check around your property and with neighbors, then contact us at [contact email] within 7 days of the delivery date. We will open a claim with the carrier and help you resolve it.

If your order arrives damaged, keep the packaging and email us photos within 7 days of delivery. We will arrange a replacement or refund.

Returns

For information about returns, exchanges and refunds, please see our Refund and Return Policy.

What is a shipping policy?

A shipping policy tells customers how long it takes to process their order, which delivery options you offer, what they cost, where you ship to, and what happens if a parcel is late, lost or damaged. It answers the questions customers ask most before and after they buy: "How much is shipping?" and "Where is my order?".

A clear shipping policy reduces support emails and chargebacks, and it is expected by marketplaces, payment providers and Google Merchant Center, which asks for your delivery times and costs before your products can appear in Google Shopping.

What a shipping policy must include

  • Order processing time, and whether you ship on weekends and holidays
  • Each shipping option with its delivery estimate and cost
  • Free shipping threshold, if you offer one
  • Where you ship, including international countries
  • Who pays customs duties and import taxes on international orders
  • How order tracking works
  • What happens with wrong addresses, and with lost, stolen or damaged parcels
  • A link to your refund and return policy, and how to contact you

Shipping policy tips

Separate processing time from delivery time

Most "where is my order" emails come from customers who expected delivery time to start on the day they ordered. Stating processing and delivery times separately sets the right expectation.

Be upfront about international costs

Unexpected customs charges are the top cause of refused international parcels. Say clearly who pays duties and import taxes, and show shipping costs before checkout.

Keep it consistent

The delivery times and costs in your policy should match your checkout settings, product pages and Google Merchant Center. Mismatches can get products disapproved.

Not legal advice

This generator gives you a practical starting point. Rules on delivery deadlines and consumer rights vary by country, so review your policy and speak to a lawyer if you are unsure.

Where should I put my shipping policy?

Publish it as its own page (for example, /shipping-policy) and link to it from your footer, product pages, cart and order confirmation emails. On Shopify you can paste it under Settings, Policies, Shipping policy.
